Fire Alarm Systems (FAS)

Protect lives, meet compliance, stay certified.

From smoke detectors to full suppression systems — we design, install, and certify fire safety solutions that meet Kenyan regulations and give occupants the time they need to evacuate safely.

What’s included

Detection, suppression, and compliance — in one package.

Every building has different fire risks. We design around your occupancy type, floor area, hazard zones, and regulatory requirements — not a generic catalogue spec.

01

Fire Alarm Panels

Addressable and conventional panels with manual call points, sounders, and zone-by-zone fault monitoring.

02

Smoke & Heat Detectors

Optical smoke detectors for open areas; ionisation for fast-flaming fires; rate-of-rise heat detectors for kitchens and plant rooms.

03

Suppression Systems

FM200, CO₂, and foam suppression for server rooms, generator enclosures, and high-value asset areas.

04

Emergency Lighting

Maintained and non-maintained emergency luminaires and exit signs on all egress routes, tested to BS 5266.

05

Voice Evacuation

High-intelligibility PA/VA systems that deliver clear spoken evacuation instructions — critical in large or noisy buildings.

06

Compliance Certification

All installations are documented and certified for Kenyan fire safety regulations. We issue the compliance certificate you need for insurance and occupancy.

How it works

From risk assessment to compliance certificate.

01

Fire Risk Assessment

We survey your premises, identify fire hazards, occupancy type, and escape routes to determine system requirements.

02

System Design

Detector placement, panel sizing, zone layout, and suppression specification — all drawn to code and submitted for approval if required.

03

Installation

Professional installation of panels, detectors, call points, sounders, suppression heads, and all cabling.

04

Integration

Connection to building management systems, access control (door-hold-opens release on alarm), and CCTV recording triggers.

05

Testing & Commissioning

Full cause-and-effect testing of every device and zone. System commissioned and documented per the design specification.

06

Training & Certification

Staff trained on evacuation procedures, manual call point operation, and panel reset. Compliance certificate issued.

Common questions.

Yes. The Physical Planning Act, building codes, and fire safety regulations require fire detection and alarm systems in commercial buildings, factories, hotels, schools, hospitals, and multi-storey residential buildings. We provide the compliance certificate required for insurance and operating licences.

Conventional systems divide a building into zones — when a detector activates, you know which zone but not the exact device. Addressable systems give every detector a unique address so the panel shows the exact location of the fire. We recommend addressable systems for buildings with more than 5 zones or where fast response is critical.

Yes. We install FM200 (HFC-227ea) gaseous suppression for server rooms and control rooms, CO₂ systems for industrial applications, and foam systems for flammable liquid stores. All suppression systems are designed and certified to the relevant standards.

Kenyan regulations and insurance requirements typically mandate bi-annual servicing and an annual full test. We offer maintenance contracts with scheduled visits, device-by-device testing, and a service report that satisfies insurance audits.

Yes. On alarm activation we can release door-hold-opens, unlock fire exits (magnetic lock release), trigger CCTV recording to the alarm zone, and send alerts to a monitoring centre. Integration is designed during the system design phase.

A small commercial system (up to 20 devices) typically takes 2–3 days. Medium-sized offices or factories with 20–100 devices take 1–2 weeks. Large or complex installations are phased to minimise disruption. We provide a detailed programme after the site survey.
