Solar Solutions
Cut your electricity bill. Secure your energy.
From 3kW home systems to 100kW+ commercial arrays — we design, install, and maintain solar power systems that deliver real savings from day one.
What’s included
The complete solar package — panels to monitoring.
Every system is sized to your actual load profile and roof conditions — not a standard catalogue package. We model your energy consumption before specifying anything.
High-Efficiency Panels
Monocrystalline and polycrystalline panels from certified manufacturers. Warrantied for 25 years output performance.
Battery Storage
Lithium-ion and deep-cycle battery banks sized to your daily load. Power through the night and KPLC outages without interruption.
Hybrid Inverters
Pure sine wave and hybrid inverters that manage solar, battery, and grid simultaneously — automatic seamless switching.
Grid-Tie & Net Metering
Export excess power back to KPLC and earn credits on your bill. We handle the net metering application and connection.
Off-Grid Systems
Complete independence from the grid. Sized to your load profile with generator backup integration for extended cloudy periods.
Solar Street Lighting
All-in-one LED solar street lights with motion sensors, dusk-to-dawn timers, and 3–5 day battery backup. No trenching required.
How it works
From site assessment to live solar generation.
Site Assessment
Roof structural survey, shading analysis, orientation check, and review of your last 3 months of KPLC bills to size the system accurately.
System Design
Panel array layout, battery bank sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, and a load-flow simulation to project your savings.
Installation
Mounting structure installation, panel fixing, inverter and battery mounting, DC and AC cabling, and earthing.
Grid Connection
Liaison with KPLC for grid-tie approval, meter upgrade, and net metering agreement — we manage the paperwork.
Testing & Commissioning
Performance verification against design output, monitoring platform setup, and system optimisation.
Training & Handover
Training on the monitoring app, battery management, and basic maintenance. Handover documentation including warranties.
A well-sized system typically offsets 70–100% of your KPLC bill. For a home consuming 300 kWh/month, a 3kW system in Nairobi (5.5 peak sun hours/day) produces approximately 450–500 kWh/month. Actual savings depend on your consumption pattern, tariff, and whether you add battery storage or grid-tie.
Residential systems typically pay back in 3–5 years at current KPLC tariffs. Commercial systems with higher tariff categories can pay back in 2–4 years. Rising electricity costs accelerate payback. After payback, you generate free power for 20+ years.
Off-grid systems store all energy in batteries and operate independently of KPLC — ideal for areas with unreliable grid supply. Grid-tie systems export excess power to KPLC (earning net metering credits) and draw from the grid at night — cheaper upfront but dependent on grid connection. Hybrid systems combine both: battery backup plus grid tie.
Solar panels carry a 25-year linear performance warranty — output is guaranteed to be at least 80% of rated capacity after 25 years. Inverters typically carry 5–10 year warranties. Lithium batteries are rated for 3,000–6,000 charge cycles (approximately 8–15 years of daily use).
Yes. We prepare and submit all documentation to KPLC for grid-tie approval and net metering meter installation. The process takes 4–8 weeks depending on your location. We manage all liaison with KPLC on your behalf.
Yes, though at reduced output. On heavily overcast days, output drops to approximately 20–30% of rated capacity. Kenya's equatorial climate means consistent solar radiation year-round — even cloudy coastal or highland days produce meaningful energy. Battery storage compensates for low-generation periods.
